Location: Quebec
Sector: Commercial Building
Another emergency installation was executed by HVAC Rentals. This time at a commercial multi-retail building in the Beauce region which we visited on a Sunday following the customer’s call.
Our client’s chiller failed them, so they needed a quick solution, as without air conditioning, other retail stores in our client’s building were unable to remain open due to the intense heat. Our HVAC installers team, led by our representative David Olivier had a tricky challenge due to the high winds that the area was experiencing on the day of installation.
Our approach to the challenging weather being faced was to use an ariel work platform and building anchors in order to complete our installation without any error, injuries or damage occurring. The install consisted of a trailer-mounted 100-ton chiller unit placed on the side of the client’s building with the vertically positioned piping scaling along the brick siding which was secured with brackets until it reached the mechanical engineering room on the highest floor for the final connection of our unit to our clients HVAC system. The start-up was effective on the Tuesday following the call.
Our team had excellent coordination with the customer, his plumber and electrician, which enabled us to get our chiller up and running after just 1 day of installation. The customer was able to reopen the building to its merchants more quickly than expected.
